One blink at the wrong moment is how a great group picture ends up unused. Eye Opener rescues those frames. Upload the photo and the tool opens any closed or half-closed eyes, matching each person's eye color, the shape of their eyes and the direction they were looking, so nothing about the face reads as borrowed. The expression, the smile, hair, clothing and the scene around them are kept as they were. No settings are needed. The tool finds the eyes that are shut or drooping and opens them to a natural, awake position, taking cues from the surrounding face: brow position, lid shape, the catchlights in any eyes that were already open and the general light of the picture. Eyes that were open to begin with are left alone. When several people appear, it treats each face on its own. After the result appears on the canvas, use the Compare button to flip between the uploaded frame and the made one, zooming on each pair of eyes to check color and gaze. If a result looks too wide-eyed, a worded edit such as 'relax the eyes slightly' brings it back.

About this tool
- Why does the tool keep the eyes looking in the same direction?
- Gaze is part of the moment. If a person was looking at the birthday cake or at a friend, opening their eyes toward the camera would make the picture feel staged and slightly wrong. The tool reads the head angle and the other faces in the frame to keep the gaze where it belongs.
- Does it work with sunglasses or heavily shaded eyes?
- Dark sunglasses hide the eyes completely, so there is nothing to open; the tool leaves those faces alone. Light tints and clear glasses are fine. If glare on the lenses is the actual problem, run Glasses Glare Fix first and then Eye Opener on the result.
- How many people can it fix in one photo?
- All of them. Every face with closed or half-closed eyes is handled in the same run, and faces with open eyes are left as they were. Large group pictures work, with the caveat that very small faces give the tool less detail to match, so check each pair with Compare.
- What should I upload for the best match to the person's real eyes?
- Use the original full-resolution frame rather than a screenshot or a message-app copy, since detail around the lids and brows guides the reconstruction. Where possible, pick a picture in which the eyes are only partly closed, or in which another face nearby shows the lighting and catchlights the tool can echo.
