The photo is good, the outfit is not. Outfit Swap lets you describe new clothing in plain words and see it worn by the person in the picture, fitted naturally to their body and pose with realistic drape, seams, lighting and shadows. Face, hair, skin tone, body shape, pose and the background all stay the same, so only the wardrobe changes. There is one field, New outfit, and it is free text, so specifics pay off. Name the garment type, color, fabric and fit: a charcoal wool three-piece suit with a burgundy tie reads far better than just a suit. Mention layers when they matter, such as a leather jacket over a white tee, and accessories when you want them, such as a silk scarf or a stethoscope. Keep the description to the clothing itself; the tool leaves pose and setting alone, so asking for a beach will not move you there. For multiple options, run the same photo several times with different descriptions and compare them side by side on the canvas.

About this tool
- Do I need a full-body photo?
- Not at all. The tool dresses whatever part of the body is visible, so a head-and-shoulders picture gets a new collar, jacket or neckline while a full-length photo gets the whole outfit including shoes. Use the framing that matches your goal: profile pictures rarely need trousers, but a lookbook or costume preview benefits from the full figure.
- What happens if I describe something vague like nicer clothes?
- You will get a plausible but generic result, because the tool fills every unnamed detail with a safe default. Adding color, fabric, garment names and fit steers it exactly where you want: a fitted navy blazer over a crisp white shirt leaves far less to chance. Treat the field like a shopping list for a stylist.
- Why does the background stay the same?
- Keeping the background, pose, face and body shape unchanged is the whole point: it is what makes the swap believable and lets you compare outfits fairly. - What should I upload for the most realistic fabric and fit?
- Choose a sharp, well-lit photo where the body outline is not hidden by furniture, bags or other people, and where the current clothing is not too bulky. Fitted or medium-weight clothes make it easiest to read the pose beneath. Avoid heavy motion blur and extreme wide-angle distortion; both make seams and drape harder to place convincingly.
